If you want the most reliable F10 model, go for a 2011 528i. N52, RWD only. solid. stay away from Xdrive in general - its useless. A 535i is also solid albeit will be a bit less reliable then the 11 528i in the long run

agree, proven engine but the rest of the car is 1st year of new body.

I have a rule that has served me well, never buy the first year of a new body.

This car only has 44k miles.....
So how can I tell if it's on warranty
or am I still able to get a aftermarket warranty ?

BMW has the Maintenance Program; which is 4 years/50,000 miles and it ends after 4 years or 50,000 miles; whichever comes first. Also the New Vehicle Warranty; which pretty much covers everything for 4 years/50,000 miles as well. And this one also expired after it reaches 4 years or 50,000.

Basically, with this vehicle being a 2011 there is no BMW warranty on this car. You will have to purchase your own extended warranty.

Do a search on Route 66 Warranty Insurance. It seems to be the one that forums members trust and works.

You're definitely right about that, but its not always the case. my 2011 model has been bullerproof. very, very solid. not a single issue to report at 70,000 miles. it has lots of electronics too but everything is perfect.

i think BMW already had enough experience building the 2009+ 7 series and the older model x5 before starting with the f10 which are related.
