How do I tell if my car has DHP (besides the window sticker)?

How can I tell if my car has DHP besides looking at the window sticker? Car drives great but I have never driven another 550 without DHP for comparison. Is there any physical way to see the components on the car? Thx

Once you ran VIN decoder look for these.

2VA ADAPTIVE DRIVE
223 DYNAMIC DAMPER CONTROL
229 DYNAMIC DRIVE

Can never really remember which 2 of these 3 make DHP, I'm tempted to say first two, but am not sure, sorry.

Interesting, I have (2VA ADAPTIVE DRIVE), but no 223 or 229 and I got Dynamic Handling Package.

223 + 229 = 2VA

I believe if you look under the car the rear sway bar with have some sort of solenoid or pump if have DHP. I'm sure someone will chime in to provide a better explanation

Interesting (and kinda awkward) that they listed them separately, at least when I decoded my VIN. To me it'd make more sense to just have XYZ option that's "Dynamic handling package", it would clear lots of confusion.

My '12 535 didn't have it, but did have a little "under the floor" storage compartment in the trunk.

My '12 550 has it, and lifting the floor of the trunk shows lots of electronic bits but no little storage compartment.

I assume the two differences are related.

What year? I think prior to 2012, the DHP was a combined package. post 2012, this was broken up into a la carte hence you have two different line items.

DHP on our 2015 550i xDrive was an all in one package that included Adaptive Drive, Active Roll Stabilization, and Dynamic Damper Control. Wouldn't get any xDrive car without the upgraded suspension!

http://www.bmwvin.com/ is where you can look up if you have it or not.

Another clue would be being able to select between comfort, normal, and sport suspension modes with the button near the gear selector. Your screen should show changes in suspension and you will also feel the difference when you switch modes.

Nevermind, I was thinking you meant Active Steering. Too many silly letter abbreviations on these machines!
