enhanced bluetooth
I have a 2013 535xi with a build date of 4/13. I have the technology package, smartphone integration, apps, etc. I can stream music but I thought I could pair two phones at the same time. When I go into options it only has an option that say "Telephone 1" and "Audio". It does not show "additional phones". Am i missing something?

You should be able to.
Go to the bluetooth settings and try to add or pair another phone. I got both of my phone paired on my '12 528i and '14 X5.

It's not quite that simple, at least on my model...
You can pair two phones, but only one of them can be used to stream audio and to make phone calls (you might be able to stream audio from one, and make calls with the other - I'm not sure if those parameters are linked or separate). When both are present, the secondary phone can only receive calls through the car...it cannot make one nor does its phonebook get transferred. Now, if only one of the phones, and let's say it was the secondary phone were in the car when it was turned on, I do not remember if it could automatically switch and then make that one the primary...I don't thinks so, but do not know for sure as I've never tried it. You might have to go into the menu and switch primary to the other phone. The user's manual describes the function... |
