Dinan Stage 4 (Anything & Everything Related)
Hey guys this is a Dinan stage 4 thread....Feel free to add whatever you like that's related to stage 4. Ill start by adding this pic. So far I've driven the car just a short trip in traffic but already I can tell the power delivery at least to me is smoother than stage 3 and the power is more brutish..so not only is it a beast but a refined one at that.. I'll post more info as I drive it some more.

Heard stage 4,5 and 6 was in the works but didn't know stage 4 was on the market. Any details on the new inter coolers? What is HP/TQ per Dinan?

Can you give more details and pictures?
Dinan doesn't have the info on there site. How much HP/tq advertised from Dinan? Only intercooler's or intake too? How much bigger then stock? Tks

Stage 4 intercoolers are 2500+200 for the upgrade in tune from 3 to 4 and there is a 6/hr install time.....this is of course with no discount.

The stage 4 tune IMO is significantly different than 3. The power delivery is smoother and much more intense. I can definitely tell the difference going from 3 to 4. Its very clear to me especially the more I drive it.

Pls can we just get a reputable tuner with a dyno to get behind this motor. It should be so simple to make great power from this platform. Intake side, tune, exhaust side including dps and possibly wastegates or actuators should be good for well over 100whp/wtq. Look at what AAM did so quickly with the new benz tt motors and they had no benz experience. Is there that little demand that one of the vet BMW tuners cannot bear the R&D expense or is there something hard about cracking all the variables in this ecu to cover all the bases properly?

We just did the same upgrade to our shop 550i. I know the Dinan parts are very expensive, but they work well and bring this car more in line with the F10 M5. But I agree and am surprised no other tuners are getting into this car. The Dinan upgrades have transformed the car and as stated, remains incredibly smooth.
I heard a rumor that Dinan will be offering turbo upgrades along with Intake and oil cooler upgrades. |

I wonder if Dinan will offer a package deal and a measure of discount on the labor. So instead of upgrading at the release of each stage, just pay like $10K in one full swoop to upgrade all the bits.

guys with the dinan intercoolers, do you hear any weird sound when the turbo's starts boosting and you suddenly take off your foot from the gas pedal ? (mostly heard on second and third gear), i'm not sure if this thing is normal or if i have a boost leak

Are u referring to a slight whistle noise? That would be the turbos spooling.

I am ready to pull the trigger on stage 3. Built a custom midpipe and exhaust but really with no verified times, dynos and my previous experience with Dinan being so bad this is tough. Does anyone even have any indication of speed or performance increase based on racing other cars before and after. I know it is not scientific but I need something. Lots of seat of the pants info but the only drag info was Middly and he had terrible times but that was with his cutouts and 21" wheels. Anyone...
