Exclamation Burger N63 bms Stage 2

I was just curious, I wanted to buy either stage 1 or stage 2 kit for my 2012 f10 550i with ///M sport package, how do I know what type is my harness?

What would you guys recommend, should I buy stage 1 or 2? or does anyone in here are selling one?

Thanks.

I see, I found a guy on Ebay is selling one for $350 shipped, is that a good deal, should I look for anything in particular when buying a used product such as this one? Warranty or if some happen to the unit>?

You buy one off ebay for 100 bucks cheaper?

I'd buy a new one. So you have a warranty, why would BMS warranty a used product.

come on man.

Shouldn't be any issues very rare.

Well, i've ask a few members that had installed the stage1 and they said so far the only different on the 550i is the throttle respond, they don't feel any different on the hp wise. So i'm thinking i should go for the stage2 then.

not sure who you have talked to ... but I can feel a difference on my stage 1, it takes about a few miles and a few full throttle runs for it to adjust.
Only reason I have stage 1 is because its easy to install, stage 2 looks simple too but requires 3 cables in the ECU and knowing my luck i'll mess it up lol

Go with stage 2 it is worth it.
Better power delivery, more safety, more features, datalogging.
And please do not getit from Ebay.
Any defect to that part you are getting might cost you 5000$+ in ECU repair.
Get the Jb4 from burger tuning or an authorized dealer.
Most dealers (including us) offer free shipping

That is so totally wrong

I have the stage 1 on my 550ix, it totally changed the car. It feels like 70-100hp more. Big difference. Have the others you asked installed this the right way?

The stage 2 is much harder to install, and it boost a lot harder. I`m not convinced that is is a safe tune....

70-100 is a bit overkill. I'd say more along the lines of 30-40. Dynowise I think it bumped my car from 390 to 415.

You can always crank the boost on race gas and push same numbers as stage 2 on race gas i got identical dynos from both.. but for daily stage 2 is much faster.

I put a stage 1 on today myself, drove country roads for a while this afternoon. Fun! Second gear and the car blasts off. Throttle response is excellent. I was intimidated on the stage 2 install.

Ok, so I went ahead and purchased a BMS JB4 stage1 for my 2012 550i ///M sport from ebay, the guy say it will fit my car and surely because it came off from his 2012 550i f10. I ask him what type is the connector, and he reply type A. Surely it look like mine is a type A but it turn out it's not. so I'm guessing it's a type B connector guys? Here's a few picture I took of the maps connector in my car, compare to the picture they had on BMS tuning website. So, why is there two different type of connector from the same year? I have no idea, now I have to return this to him for a refund. Hopefully

I was looking forward it all week long to install it, now it get no where!

NO the type A look way too long for my Maps sensor connector, so there's no need to. Type A had a hook release, and Mine had a kinda push in to release the connector. It don't look like it could fit, I just wish that BMS would put up a better picture of the Tmaps sensor on their website, that would help a lot.

BMW TMAPS Sensor Type A

and this is the TYPE B Tmaps Sensor look like.

@spyroz, 2012 is a split year where BMW changed the sensor type.
PM me last 7 of your VIN and I can reconfirm it for you.

Wow, I guess BMW screw you up. Supposedly, based on the parts catalog, your car is MY02/12 and the type A TMAP should be used up to MY03/12 before they start switching to the Type B.

Is #11 is the Tmaps sensor right? Yeah, well mine is the late 12 so I guess they switch to type B connector. (those pictures above for type B is my car actual tmaps sensor.
