Can RWD coilovers fit my AWD with a little help??

So I'm tired of waiting to see if they will ever come out with a kit for my awd. Considering buying the rwd set up and trying to make it fit. I'm will to try a little cut and paste to make it work.

Anyone ever played with it or know if it will work? Would maybe the rear only fit?

Any insight would be helpful.

Well since I have no help here I pulled the trgger and bought a used set of Megan coilovers...

I know a good shop that has a machine shop as well. Let's see what we can do here. I should be installing in the next month... Stay tuned.

I'd be very careful. Several companies attempted coilovers for the xDrives and gave up, namely KW. If it was as easy as repackaging their rwd coilovers, they certainly would have done it.

I suspect the Xdrive has a lot to do with ruining the handling of the 5. It adds a lot of weight and I just feel a very numb dynamic. I can't wait to ditch my 535d xdrive and get into the 535i rwd. The diesel lacks all the refinement i've become accustomed to with the BMW straight sixes. I get out of my diesel and jump into my E93 328 and it is just so smooth, the steering so perfectly weighted. Hopefully the new 5 with the gas six will exhume the refinement of old.
