Unhappy 2013 535i xDrive turn signal doesn't flash

Hello,

So a few weeks ago I got multiple errors showing up on my 2013 BMW 535i xDrive for Right turn signal malfunction, Adaptive Headlight malfunction, Daytime/Parking lamp malfunction. I could see condensation in my headlight assembly so ended up replacing the housing with the one bought off ebay.

Good thing the condensation went away and I can see all bulbs come on just fine. However, after replacing I am still seeing the Right turn signal malfunction error. When the turn signal switch is turned on the turn signal comes on but does not flash/blink. Turning on the hazard switch on makes the turn signal flash/blink without the error....

I got it checked by a mechanic and he recommends the whole housing is faulty and needs to be replaced with a new one. Anyone had this problem and how to get this fixed? This is frustrating.....and expensive.

Did you replace just the housing, or the modules too?

I replaced just the housing and used the old modules.

On the old housing the turn signal would not turn on at all. With the new housing the turn signal comes on but does not flash.

Given you had condensation in the headlight, my bet is a faulty headlight module due to the water.

Hello Unspec, thanks for the recommendation.

I ended up changing the whole housing with a new one I bought off ECS tuning (Brand - Hella ES#3032433) still the issue did not go away. I ordered the control module now from Amazon (MOTOKU TMS Control Module Driver 63117316217) and I will be replacing that this week. Hopefully that should take care of it. Also, once replacing do I need to get it coded?

Yes, it needs to be coded to the car.

I would not trust 3rd part control modules at all.

Did your problem go away with a new TMS module? Did you get it coded?

I currently have a left turn signal out. It's LED and there is no power at all to it. All other lights and blinkers work. I swapped out my TMS module with a 3rd party ebay model. I am wondering if I got a bad 3rd party TMS module.
