I've crossed over to the 5 series side

I picked up a straggling new 2011 550i at my local dealer... so far I'm liking it a lot.

Congrats, have had my 550i since April 2011 and all 10k miles have been a sheer enjoyment for me. Have fun with it!

Congrats on the new car! Can I ask how much of a discount from MSRP did you get?

This car makes my mouth water for an M5--even though the 550 feels deadly

I got 7k under MSRP (75k down to 68k) thought the car has been in the shop for 5 days dealing with the car pulling to the right.

I totally understand what you mean. I feel like I have pushed my current 550i to its limits in all aspect of performance without killing myself. I am hoping the Hartge ECU tune I am getting next week will ease my thoughts of trading up into an M5.
