need some wheel/tire advice

Hey guys,

I'm sort of a newbie when it comes to modifying cars, but I have been starting to get an itch to upgrde my wheels/tires to something really sleek and aggressive, likely a staggered setup. Just rolling with the standard wheel package currently, on a 2011 535i.

What kid of sizes / specs will work for my vehicle? I have read things here and there in the forum about certain sizes not fitting.

Also where's a good place to shop for this?

Thanks for any advice.

Most common wheel upgrade is probably 20x9 front and 20x10.5 in the rear with 245/35/20 and 285/30/20 tires.

will these size wheels/tires look great without any additional modifications? I read somewhere about needing to lower the suspension

If you get the right offset, you don't have to

I put my hr6 on my brothers m sport and he will never lower but it looks just fine
We maximized offset to the fenderoso visually it looks right

So what is the right offset for the 20x9 front and 20x10.5 in the rear?

right now I have 12mm front and 15mm rear spacers on my stock wheels...will I have any use for them after I upgrade to these wheel/offset specs?

Noticed you are running a little bigger tires and wider rim in the back than those specs. Does the 20x11 fit well on the rear?

Since I was ordering custom wheels I wanted 11" and 295 in the rear, and they don't rub.
