I will continue to use this going forward The application lasts about 2 to 3 years.

The nano mitt removes all road contaminant and cleans the cars exterior like new. The opti-coat gloss is fantastic as it acts like a clear glass film protecting the paint which makes everything just slide off. It makes washing the car a cinch... and I don't ever have to wax the car again for that brilliant shine. I used it on my rims as well.

FYI - here is what I got..

Nanoskin Auto scrub -Fine Grade wash mitt
http://www.autogeek.net/nanoskin-aut...ine-grade.html
Acts as a clay bar or better.. Never tried it but heard some very good things about it.

Lubricant for the Nanoskin Auto scrub
http://www.autogeek.net/nanoskin-glide-lubricant.html
Needed to use with the nanoskin.. dilute with water and use in a spray bottle.

Optimum Gloss Coat is now available in a 20 cc size. This gives you enough product to coat a full size SUV or two average sized vehicles.
http://www.autogeek.net/optimum-glos...t-coating.html

My method is as follows:

1. Wash & Rinse
2. Use the nanoskin clay mitt on the whole surface of the X5 using the nanoskin glide lubricant to remove all contaminant.
3. Rinse and dry
4. Apply Rubbing alcohol to a dry cloth to remove any residue of previous wax/sealant etc.
5. Apply opti-gloss coat as suggested.

The whole process took about 3 hours.

In action...

Just tried out Blacklight and waiting for my LSP Hybrid V7 to try out. Waiting for the UPS dude now !!

Will post pics this weekend if I get a chance, but so far the work completed:

Clayed
Meg 105 - orange Hexlogic pad
Meg 205 - white Hexlogic pad
Blacklight - black Hexlogic pad

Still to do:
Blacklight 2nd coat by hand
Hybrid V7 sealer/spray wax (who knows whats in it. Some special brew everyone swears by so I'm going to try it also! )

But so far .....

Stuff is awesome so far. My brother in law and neighbours noticed more than me. Really helps if you have compound, and polished your car prior.

Amazon or any parts store (Pep Boys, Autozone, O'Reilly's). Some tire stores may have it. IIRC, I got mine from Amazon. *REMINDER....* I need to order more...

I also put it on my painted calipers. makes the dust come off those easy also with out any wheel cleaning chemicals.

Does it make the finish shiney because my wheels are Matte finish?

thought about maybe this for wheel wax since my wheels are Matte finish? It's Dr Beasley's Matte wheel seal from Detailers Domain.

Matte Wheel Seal is a high-tech synthetic protective coating for your wheels which prevents the build up of brake dust. Its formula has extremely high heat resistance so it will last even if you take your ride to the track. Wheel Seal prevents damage caused by brake dust, road tar, and other road contaminants. The best part about it? It's designed for wheels with a Matte finish and no shine.

Not that I've noticed. It doesn't add a shine like regular wax does.
