A much easier, cheaper and better alternative is to simply VO code the EDC off of the vehicle.

I've been thinking about doing this to my car once my coilovers arrive.

After I remove the EDC VO from the FA, what ECU's do I code?

A lot of coders are out there.
If not, you can always find someone who can code remotely, like us.

There is a user here in Southern California that has successfully coded out EDC by simply removing the FA (VO) and coding the respective ECU's, the M5 may be different.

As long as they are in VO list, it can be coded out.
