Hi All

Picked up my brand new 535i F11 a couple of days ago which is fitted with the multi function instrument panel which I love, but driving for the first time at night I've noticed that appear to have pixel drop out.

It is like a very very small blue dot in the display you can only see it when in sport or eco pro mode as in these modes there is a large black area at the bottom of the display which is where the the dot is.

Just wondered if anyone else has had pixel drop out on their multi function instrument panel.


P.S would you guys take it back to the dealer to get it sorted or am I going over the top.

You're saying one lcd pixel is stuck blue?

If so, you can try to ask dealer for a replacement. Typically one pixel defect may not be enough to warrant an exchange.

Yes thats right one pixel says blue but strangely it appears to have sorted itself just gone out to the car and could see then it just appeared to disappear.

You may be right about one pixel not being enough to warrant a exchange as I now when LCD TV'S came out you had to have about five before it was classed as a fault.

Will keep an eye on it to see if it is going to be an intermittent fault.
