Some time ago, I managed a shop for that had a Dyno Dynamics Dyno.
Seen thousands of dyno runs
The first thing the average punter does is ask why the numbers arent as good as XX dyno down the road that my friends car was tested on....

You get tired of explaining it after a while

Their is much you can change on dyno settings to make the readings bigger.

Agreed numbers are not the final evaluation or measurement for reading go output. Time becomes a better measurement e.g. 0-60 or 1/4 mile times. However, that doesn't make dyno numbers completely irrelevant. 280hp read out on one dyno and 290hp numbers on another dyno is an example when dyno calculations don't measure up. When you have a delta of 50hp such as 230hp -280hp something is a miss.

The other interesting thing is that their is about a 100 whp increase around the 3000 rpm range before breathing gets restrictive.

I have since got an updated map which runs a bit more boost. (Still stock hardware)
Bum dyno and logs show more power.
I'll jump on dyno next week to verify

Yep there is Peak Gains and Area Under Curve gains ;-)
Most people miss out the important *UNDER CURVE gains*

Throw on that DP/FMIC if you can

Just waiting on Downpipe.
Then I'll get back on the dyno
PTF has been great and given the 535 tune (93oct Stg2) a number of updates
Really smooth now and much more midrange.
I probably should get another baseline dyno before installing DP

I'll do a dedicated thread soon with Dyno graphs and 1/4 mile slips.
My plan is to see how far I can go with bolt-ons and a stock fuel system.
Then look at turbo upgrade

Had a hard time for a minute there getting a hold of MP to go Stage 2 so I kinda jumped the gun (I'm impatient ) and got BM3. I try everything though...... I have OCD.

Nice same here OCD... lol good to know you like bootmod3... I think of getting the stage 1 for now and when I move some $$ around, I will get ic and dp and go stage 2... I need to pull some magic so my wife and kids don't find out. oh and btw I remember you had issues few wks after you flashed your car... what was the fix.. just curious

I'm on bootmod3. Been for about 6 months now. Running Stage 2 E30 map. It blows the JB4 out of the water. Absolutely no comparison between power delivery, overall power output, customer service, and BM3 community support.

Hello!! I have a 2013 535i with BM3 and FBO except larger turbo. The cats drives and feels much better than it did with the JB4. As far as HP, I have yet to dyno it. But with BM3, CP, Catless DP, Intake, exhaust and Wagner FMIC I was able to go from 13’8 1/4 mile times to 12”90’s so I’m guessing I’m at 380-400 HP. With a larger turbo it will add another 100HP.
