Looks like the only wheels available in Canada are the pictured 351M 19" wheels in staggered set-up for the RWD models and non staggered 245s for the XI models.

Also, the aluminum interior trim can be substituted at no extra cost for another wood trim of your choice. I had the aluminum trim in my 330ci sport and almost bought an e60 535xi M sport in Carbon Black with black bamboo anthracite wood. It looked far better as a combination in my opinion.

Thanks for the CDN info. Interesting that it doesn't talk about the seats at all. I can't imagine they would make the European cloth/alcantara standard in Canada.

You're right. Underneath the picture it actually says in small print that those seats aren't available, but instead that you get the comfort seats.

Wow - you guys in Canada get a lot of standard equpment such as comfort seats (with the m - package: here in EU, this costs about 2k EUR on top of the m-sport packagE), comfort access (about 500 eur), foldable seats (400 eur) etc.. not bad!

Does anyone know whether North American 6MT-equipped cars will get the great looking short-throw shifter shown on the European sites?

We pay for it though. The average price difference between a Canadian BMW and US BMW is 15-20% (more in Canada) or higher even when foreign exchange is factored in.

Nice, would prefer a quad exhaust thought, and I am not that keen on that rear bumper tab that goes over the rear diffuser. Would be nice if the back looked like this (either chrome or dark chrome exhaust tips):

Interesting that the 535d above has quad exhausts. I thought quad's were the domain of M cars only.

The above is my interpretation of what I believe the M Sport Package rear should look like. They are photoshops.

Okay, in that case we can hope all we want but no quads will happen for anything other than a real M car. Just like LSD. I think it's written in stone somewhere in Germany.

I agree that there is little chance of BMW providing quad pipes on anything but the M, but no need to relay on hope as there are examples on this board where people have already converted to quad pipes.

But then I am sure there are people from BMW who follow these boards and BMW does like to make big bucks on options. So it does not hurt to show BMW our preferences and give them another idea for a further option that they could make money on rather than letting it go to a third party. I see people paying about $1,000 replacing their exhaust to get quad pipes, so can you imagine the profit to BMW if they offered a quad exhaust option for another $1,000.

It's really hard to understand world pricing? We in Canada also pay a premium over our neighbors in the US even before applying any exchange.

Even vehicles manufactured in Canada and shipped to the US can be $10K cheaper in the US. Bombardier who produce the Seadoo water craft in Canada charges $3-4 thousand more for it in Canada than the US. Go figure? Even the 2011 Ford Mustang 5.0 GTO is $10K more in Canada than the US?

Hyundai gives a 10 year - 100k mile power train warranty in the US and only 5 year 100k km warranty in Canada. It's as if they don't think anyone will notice?

The manufactures do this to us, even though with the North American free trade agreement we can import any vehicle to Canada without added duties that was manufactured anywhere in North America. It can be tough however, getting some manufactures to honor a warranty if you bring the vehicle across the boarder.

Sorry for the rant, but I am sure the differences in pricing gets to us all!

Holy schnikies! that is a gift of about $5k. Based on US pricing of $6500, I was expecting $7500. Not to mention the fact that the Canadian M Sport package only comes with the more expensive 19" rims.

Does anybody know the pricing on the X drive in Canada?

The US M-Sport package includes the Dynamic Handling Package and the Sport Package. Those two packages cost US$4,900. So the aero-bits and other aestetic items that make up the Canadian M-sport package would equal only $1,600 of its $6,500 price.

Where can I find this announcement? They were said to be announcing the Xdrive pricing concurrently with the anouncement of the M Sport package pricing.

I would like to find out about the X drive pricing too.
