Lightbulb 2014 535i Msport - 700 Miles - $53,000

Team,

New to F10 but longtime e46 Fanatic here. I have my eye on a ultra low mileage 535i M Sport with a 6/2014 build date that I have an offer in to purchase at $52,000 (plus $1,000 for shipping).

Ultra low mileage, and appears to be a cream puff inside and out. Any thoughts on this pricing, as it has been relatively hard to find 2014's preowned with the specs that I want (m sport, JB, head up, multicontour, etc)??

I have sent over my security deposit, but still somewhat perplexed as why this could have been returned with only 624 original miles. Clean carfax and no issues that I can find. Didn't show as a exec demo or any other "branded" title.

Would any of you have hesitations about the car, the price, or about buying sight unseen? First time doing so and having it shipped.

Link below, and please let me know before I seal the deal tomorrow. Seems to be a reputable dealership.

Link doesn't work. Is that car CPO? just imo, here in California, for $53,000 I would be able to get a certified 2012 or 2013 M5 (maybe have to pay a bit more), or I can get the same car you are concern about with a bit more miles but CPO. I would trade a few thousands miles for the CPO thou. Just my thinking. But again, it's your car, if you like all the spec, go ahead

Let's try the link again. Nope, not CPO and I wouldn't disagree with having a few thousand more miles, just nothing out there! I'm in AZ btw, and would love to buy from CA.

When I was on the hunt for my car, I found this listing for 2014 528I, pretty much fully loaded for $37000 with 14000 miles but from Buick dealer...i end up turn it down and bought my CPO.I mean it could be a good car...im just too careful. I mean this is my first bmw,I was a Lexus guy, hearing all the issue with bmw down the road just make me feel safe to have any extra warranty (CPO)

By the way, I wouldn't trust car fax too much. Imnot trying to talk you out of buying that car, just telling a true story. My friend bought a bmw years ago. At that moment, car fax showed nothing. 3 years later he tried to sell it,the buyer asked for a car fax, my friend ran a new carfax, it showed an accident in the 3rd year of his ownership. He called carfax and asked, they said carfax is just a reference, sometime it's delay (this case delaying 3 yrs, what the hell...)

Since you already made a deposit...meaning can't back out right? If I was you,I would try to get all statement from that dealer in writing..such as.... "no accident"...etc.then after the car shipped to you, have it check by bmw dealer.if you found any accident or anything not right....then you have the dealer's statement in writing to work something out with them. Just my opinion

Interesting. This is certainly not settling information; any other sources to check prior to buying that are more accurate than car fax? I have a call into the dealer (local BMW) to confirm options and maintenance if any.

Thoughts?

Run an autocheck as well in addition to the Carfax.

Came up clean. New dynamic to the deal; my local dealer (BMW N. Scottsdale) is trying to get back in the game after calling them to confirm the options and Sticker price of this car.

N Scottsdale is offering a new 535i M Sport for $56,000 which has a 62,000 sticker. Can probably improve the price slightly, but no head up or PDC..

Now I'm really confused as to what to do.. Any idea if PDC and head up are worth it? Difference in sticker is $5,000, and the cost will be nearly identical to the two when all said and done..

Thoughts?

I have head up display but not PDC. It's more like your driving style and your reference. I actually...dont even turn on my head up display much lol. It's nice to have, but not necessary to me. I had PDC on my loaner before....idk...again, nice to have but....I guess I'm used to driving without those. But I admit it comes to handy when I do parallel parking

PDC is nice, but the rear camera is almost a necessity on such a big car with fairly poor rearward visibiliy. BMW requires you order PDC to get the rear cam (and both are included with the DA package along w/ headsup). An F10 without rear cam woudl be a total deal breaker for me personally no matter how tempting the rest of the car seems.

Your right guys, I am the proud owner of the 2014 535i that I purchased from out of state. 700 miles and got it for a fair price I believe - the options are what swayed me from the new car locally.

Being delivered sight unseen on Monday - I cant wait!
