So after a change of job left me driving a right old mixture of hire cars including Audi's Peugeots and one notable F10 520d msport after 4 years and 140k in my beloved 330i (272bhp) msport tourer I have ordered up my new Beemer as follows;

F11 530d Msport
Sport auto
Imperial blue xirallic
Cloth / alcantara ( don't get the leather obsession now my kids are old enough not to throw up everywhere in it )
19" 351 wheels
Visibility pack
Multi functional instrument panel
Lumbar support
USB
12 volt
Sun protection glass

Weird you may think, no nav ? Well here's the thing - I was so impressed by the 520d I had for a month that given the mileage I do I talked myself into the economy it offered before it dawned on me that if I dropped the professional nav for my trusty tomtom ( superior in every way bar aesthetics to the bmw version ) then it was a small hike up to the 2 extra cylinders....well, no contest.
As its a lease car resale is irrelevant, well to me anyway.
I will miss the top 2000 revs of my old petrol but am genuinely excited by my new diesel car which is hard to believe....

I've come from 335i and it hasn't taken me long to adjust.

Lovely sounding car you have on order, the spec on my 520 is very similar including the colour

Glad to hear transition good especially as 335's are fast cars by any measure. Still get the odd shiver moving over to the fuel of the devil......

Option is shadow cloth / alcantara, not very popular I think - local dealer had it on 520 d ms demo which is how I twigged. Having had 2 kids grow up in the back of my tourer and had it trashed as only small children are able to do I was amazed when I cleaned the car up to sell the alcantara and fabric came up like new much to my relief.
