iPhone 5s Media adapter -no "plug In" capability?
the " plug In " i drive option for new my new adapter says no compatible hardware? all other features seem to work when phone is snapped into cradle, just as they did for the prior (pre iPhone 5) media updater.
I have a post 9/10 build w/ 6NR Apps option anyone had this issue and know how to cure it?

The Plugin function was discontinued by BMW due to Apple removing analog Video Out signal beginning with the iPhone5/5s production. As a result, BMW no longer includes FBAS video lines from the Baseplate to the Head Unit.

Shawn, are you sure the FBAS video line has been dropped completely? This would be strange, as snap-in adapters exist to other phone makes (Android), and while the of course do not offer iPod functionality, this would disable any and all video playback from them (which is still analog afaik)...

Yes, and it is not strange at all. The Plugin function, which is part of BMW Apps, is also known as "iPod Out" and was for the exclusive use of the iPhone.
BMW did not even add Android support to 6NR Apps until iDrive 4.2 beginning with 0713 production, and no non iPhone has ever had Plugin functionality. At least with NBT, the USB Port will support an external hard drive, so you can load one up with Videos, and play them from there.
