Laid off... anyone want to take over my lease?

All good things must come to an end. Got the old boot today after 14 years with my employer so I need to cut back on expenses.

I hate to do this, as my F10 is the best car I've ever owned. But here's the details. Post up or PM me if you're interested.

2011 535i Midnight Blue w/Oyster Interior
16,100 Miles. 36 month lease with 11 months remaining at 10k/year. So there's significant mileage left on the car.
$36,xxx residual (I think).

Premium II Package
Sport Package
Winter Package
Sport Auto Trans

The vehicle is immaculate. Garage kept and taken care of like it should be. One tiny scratch below the driver side front fender marker from road debris.

My payment is $648/month. Just looking to transfer out of it. Here's some old pics. I'll snap some new ones after I'm done feeling sorry for myself...

Car is located in Northern Virginia / DC Area.

Sorry to hear your news. I'm not in the market (just bought one), but did your exit package include your benefits (including car allowance)? Many employers cover these for a termination without notice (or are required to by law).

Interesting... I'll check but I doubt it. I actually work(ed) closely with DND Canada and in discussions with them have learned that Canadian labor laws are much kinder to the out of work person. No surprise there, I guess! haha

Thanks man!

It must be our "socialist" society. Actually, labour codes are pretty employee friendly up here. After 14 years, you might expect to get 28 - 42 weeks pay in lieu of notice and likely benefits as well. Hopefully you are being treated fairly. I guess health benefits are another concern for you In Canada we have universal health care, but the waits can be a bit long for non emergency issues, something that probably doesn't happen in the US if you have good health coverage.

I am sorry to hear.. Best of luck with this transfer.. It should not be hard to find someone to take over. Have you considered going to websites like leasebusters?

very nice. fyi your car is imperial blue.

have you looked up your payoff? With that low mileage you might be able to sell it outright.
