polish of trim panels

A quick "guide" on how i manged to freshen up the introure trim panels the car is from 11 and has done 145000KM and that had startede to show, so instead of getting new panels i decided to give them a polish.

First of all they where removed from the car, this can be done with a couple of trim removal tools after removal they where stripped of vent, start button etc, then given a polish using Sonax EX 04-06 polish on a white pad, then whipped of with Gyeon Prep before they where giving a coat of Poorbuys Blackhole and 2x Chemical Guys Jetseal. Im pretty pleased with the result, there are still some scratches left but the goal was never a 100% correction since some of the scratches were to deep.

Nice timing, was just thinking about the fine scratches on my trim this afternoon contemplating the best way to remove them. Thanks for the info!

Glad that my post could be help full. I guess that if you dont want to remove the panels and is polishing by hand it can be done in the car just mask everything off first. I just decided that it would be just as easy to remove it all

Good job, but kinda glad I have the aluminum finish so no need to polish that.
