I was at my dealer today. The sales manager said he can sell every car that he can get his hands on. No recession at BMW in Houston TX.

My dealer said their sales for the new 3 have been terrible. He said they have sold only 1 or 2 in the past few months.

The reason being is they ordered the models loaded which is extremely expensive and limited production.

Not here. Seems to be selling quite well here. I've already seen few on the roads and the times I've been to the dealership, someone was driving off the lot in a new F30.

thats crazy. i have yet to see an f30 on the road here. the dealer here has a few sitting on the lot but they are loaded and the price tag puts them in f10 territory, which sell better here.

I know what you guys mean though. When the E90 first came out, there were a lot more on the road than F30's so I'd figure that the F30 would have similar success. But like you guys have said, the stock that dealerships have, they are heavily loaded so they're at the upper end of price range and I'm assuming they're only selling the 328 with fewer options.

As the F30 has only been released mid February, most people are not buying blindly and on avage it takes 10 to 12 weeks production time, you can expect a lot more F30's hitting the streets as of mid May....

No, not all of them. There are a few 328i's with a 47k sticker, but most are around 41k-44k. I would consider that nicely equipped, but not loaded.

I shouldn't have generalized but there isn't 1 335i optioned on Autotrader, Columbus, or Cincinnati the way I want it. I haven't been able to locate 1 white manual sport 335i.

Wait, why would the X5 post such monster gains over april 2011? The other 2 I can understand, totally different models. 2011 vs 2012 x5 - virtually no difference. And that is a huge jump.

The other question, which is interesting, is why was April a slower growth month compared to YTD totals? Usually, April is a good month in the US b/c of tax returns. In our biz, april generally exceeds march or may.
