Though I am very tempted to switch stock springs to coilovers but KWv3 is quite expensive. Anyone has heard how CKS, I just know it's cheaper
After reading all the threads about springs switching I am paying more attention while driving
Dun bother with the cheaper brands for coilovers -too bad quality. and this coming from the cheapskate

Well now I think it will be KW but still didn't decide which one V1/2 or 3. I am not a hardcore modder so thinking V1, and with the saved money can get another mod

I know for the tools because lately (and still now) I am reading through all threads, so I do know about your hidden underground garage/bat-cave
And sorry for your bringing you back on stage with your underground project

If the price difference ain't big, I would opt for V2 as the benefit of having the adjustable height may come in handy. Adjustable rebound and compression you don't really need it if you don't track your car or drive like RC

Actually all three are height adjustable.

V1- NIL
V2- Rebound adjustable
V3- Rebound and compression(bump) adjustable

Rebound is how soft(slow) or hard(fast) you want the shock return back to the initial stage.

Compression(bump) is how fast or slow you want to compress the shock.

There is a delicate balance between the two adjustments.

My set up now is a bit soft for rebound from recommended setting and recommended setting for compression. Feel a bit bouncy on highway and need a bit more stable on cornering. I will have both settings adjusted a bit harder soon.

The rebound is easy to adjust (underneath the hood and from the rear speakers, can self adjust anytime) while the compression probably needs to jack up the car (can't DIY).

Must have gotten wrong info. I thought the V1 is the ordinary coilovers that's not adjustable.

HKD, only took them 10mins to finish the job and it seem easy.

Still think V3 is the best value for the money.

That easy? I thought it's pretty complicated with the airbag.

Well height seems adjustable for any version. Only the "X and Z axis" (to simplify very roughly) are adjustable.
I am in A age range but drive like a grandfather

Then V2 sounds the most user friendly ie no need to go garage or have a jack or know grimmy phone number (sorry mentioning you again )

Prices in HKD with setup are
V1 - 13.8k
V2 - 16.8k
V3 - 19.8K
Compared to USD unit price, V3 sounds cheaper but difference between 1 and 3 is 6k

Yup, so go for the V1 or the V3. Only 3k difference for V2 and V3 so might as well do the best.

Are these prices from Z shop?

Mounting wheels and tires is actually harder work as lots of lifting and your hands gets dirty.

Fitting a steering wheel only need to loose the airbag, detach some wires, loose a nut that holds the steering wheel and reattach some wires, not a complicated job, something you and your bat cave can handle I am sure

The airbag is just a piece of thing that's wrapped, it's not that complicated.

You were the biggest wheel freak before mlai. You are too extreme bro.

Speaking of which it's time for RC to change wheels with all the F14s on the street now.

Really? RR had all the goodies. He is fed up with mods now.

Ok the sequence goes like this: mlai swaps new wheels and ditches the MS8; RC takes mlai's MS8 and ditches the F14; RR takes RC's F14 and ditches his stock.

sounds good. It all starts with the big tycoons, just like anything in HK nowadays.

I saw a forgestar f14 today! .. I think its true, leaking down to everyone .. 20's are big!
btw I like the not-blue not-yellow very middle color of the xenos/halos .. it is very distinctive and f10! I say this because i am trying to match some leds for fogs to this color .. it is very hard. but would be nice to achieve for the OEM look (rather than aftermarket / cheap led look)
