Ultimate 2013 550i xDrive Suspension Upgrade
I have my 550 lowered, but I'm looking for something a little more aggressive. What options are out there. My car has EDC, which I know complicates things.
I was thinking about doing coil overs, but nobody seems to have a package that "works" with my car. The EDC should still control the sway bars, even if the shocks aren't changing... Thoughts? |

EDC (electronic dampener control) doesn't control sway bars at all...only the firmness of the shocks (via toggle between comfort and sport mode). Plus, I've not yet seen an aftermarket coil over that will retain the functionality of the factory EDC. So, if you do coil overs, you'll have much more choice in drop height but will loose EDC.
If you have ARS (automatic roll stabilization) then perhaps the sway bar functions are still available even though EDC has been disabled. Something to check out, for sure. Good luck. |

Yeah. I definitely have electronics connected to both front/rear sway bar. I am more than ok having the car low and very stiff all the time. I don't care about EDC for the most part.
What are the coilivers of choice for the F10? Thanks. |

Most folks go with the KW coil overs (adjustable dampening and up to 2" drop) but know that it'll have an "EDC" delete module which negates the effect of BMW's EDC for dampeners...not too sure what effect it'll have on the ARS regarding sway bars, though.
