Does anyone else have the experience that when braking over a pothole or any bump on the road the brake pedal shudders? Feels almost like I might lose control of the car sometimes.

This only happens when I am braking over a pothole or bump in the road.

Should I just take it to the dealer and ask them to check the brakes out? I just don't have this experience in my other cars as much as this one. I am curious if it is because of the run flats or if it is just the ABS seriously kicking in...

Perfectly normal. When you are braking and go over a bump/pothole/whatever, your tires temporarily lose contact with the road surface. Hence the ABS thinks you are "slipping" and engages to counter it. Nothing to worry about at all.

I just realized while reading this but I never brake while hitting a pothole or huge bumps. I live in NJ so I'm pretty good at spotting them, we're loaded with potholes and bumps but when it's obvious that I can't avoid it, I either I quickly brake before and let up on the brakes when going through it , or don't brake at all. Never during though.

I think this would be your ABS kicking in, train tracks, bumps, uneven surface breaking, every time when you lose traction under breaking would cause this in pretty much any car with ABS. It's very subtle most of the time, but for sure you can feel ABS kicking in in situations like these.
