Does anyone have any educated estimates as to what type of price increases we might see on the base 535 and 550?

I was trying to find out today and called my CA and he doesn't think we will see much of an increase at all. The MY14 650 only went up a few hundred and some of the options and packages have gone down in some cases making the price difference negligible.

I half expected him to try to tell me I needed to get a MY13 on order because "in July prices are going way up", but he didn't seem concerned and actually helped to reassure my decision to wait on ordering.

What is everyone else hearing/thinking?

If I were you I would wait til june then buy/lease a MY13 because odds are the LCI will be exact same thing with very minor changes. Plus MY13 will have much better pricing near that time.

On the X3 the 2014 model with SOP April 1, HUD dropped in price $400 when they added to a package.

I'm not so concerned about the MY13 sale prices at the end of the cycle. I get below invoice no matter where in the year I order. I was just a little bit concerned about a major price increase for MY14. If it stays relatively the same, then I'm all set.

I had decided on the 535, but more and more I'm leaning toward the 550. I honestly believe we are going to see a massive drop off in V8 engines in the next couple of years, and I want to pick one up before they disappear forever out of sub-100k priced cars.

That's really good info. Thanks! This reinforces what my CA was telling me.

Does anyone else have any examples of MY14 vehicles that are already in production that have either stayed the same (within 1k) on pricing or dropped on packages and options?

It all depends on how you option your X3. The base car went up in price but now you get 40/20/40 split fold down rear seats and the storage system included without extra charge. The new iDrive has a higher resolution screen, more features and better maps is a major plus. Plus increase residual value makes the 2014 a smart choice right now.

Well in that case then I would go for a fully loaded M5

Well even with good pricing, a fully loaded M5 is about 30k out of my price range unfortunately!! Maybe one day though!!

I just did a comparison of the '13 650ix and '14 650ix and the base price only went up around 700.00. The executive pack came down 300.00 however. If the 5er follows suit then I am definitely going to be putting a 550ix on order this fall.

Wish I could just skip the summer!!
