general purchase guidance
Hello all,
I'm an E93 M3 owner looking for a winter driver, considering the F10. Would probably purchase in the low 100k mile range. I would like a good performer. Doesn't have to be as fast as a supercharged S65, but I do want some nice power. Would also like AWD for Vermont snow. And preferably not terrible maintenance. Anything I should be looking for in particular, or trying to rule out? I see the N63 got a few technical updates - are those significant in terms of preventing or creating any issues? Thanks! Max |

When in doubt, stick to 535i xDrive, try to get an LCI which is +2014.

Get an LCI 535i xDrive like the user above me mention and slap on a tune (BootMod3 or MHD) if you're looking for additional power. IMO, just flashing a simple Stage 1 tune is more than enough for the 535i especially since you have an M3 as your fun car. Plus if you're going to be using winter tires, there is no sense putting down heaps of power. You'll end up losing traction the moment you decide to have some fun. Other than that, the N55 is a rock solid engine provided you're up to date on all maintenance items. Good luck!
