Then the S7 VW is faster and outhandles your BMW.

Can you back up your statement which major parts of the S7 use VW parts?
Hmm is it the engine? Nope.
Is it the platform/Chassis? Nope.
Is it the transmission? Nope.
Is it the suspension? Nope.
Is it the Quattro/AWD? Nope.

Volkswagen definitely need I say anything more? Yes please elaborate.

The B&O system in the S5 is pretty bad, even the $800 premium audio option on F10 is much better. On the Audi A6, A7 and A8, their B&O system is much better, but at 7 or 8 times the price.

RS5 is really nice. Sort of resembles the Cadillac CTS.

Actually - they look almost identical.

Some prefer Wagner over Strauss or XMas over Thanksgiving; doesn’t mean that one is better than the other.
But still it was Adolfo company

But still no rusting seats like the BMW F30.
Really it doesn't bother Audi owners that VW owns Audi. Just look at the this comparison. Due to the sharing of R&D among VW group and also sharing of buying among suppliers have allowed Audi to put together a car that outperforms or matches performance of the BMW at $20-30K less. I think that is a win. It may even force BMW to be more competitive with pricing and possibly move back to become more performance oriented.

What a sports car beating a 4 door sports sedan in performance. Your statement sounds like sour grapes that the Audi beat the BMW in performance for $20-30K less.
Statements like your just lets people know that Audi is heading in the right direction.

The s7 Msrp starts at 80k not including options with a weak 4.0 a 550i loaded Msrp is around 71k with a 4.4 engine so wtf..... Are you talking about! When it all said and done its still a vw
When you tell someone they are wrong you should get your facts right.
First off the OP asked about the S5 and the 535i and I asked him to look at the RS5 if he thinks the S5 was amazing. Nowhere did I compare it to the 5er as I know that they are not similiar cars, unlike some people who compare a ZR1 to a S7.
Second you obviously can't read. the weak 4.0 in the S7 has the 650i GC of BMW beat performance wise in an article just posted in the forums on the front page. Read the comparison yourself and then comeback to me. Again you don't have your facts correct.

http://www.6post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=797346

Reading the article the only thing weak it looks like is the 5er which they mentioned should have been forgotten about and replaced by the 6series. LOL

You obviously saying that Audi's are VW's are just upset that there are better alternatives to BMW.

Hitler got one thing right with VW and the Beetle.

Agreed. Love the GC - 4 door and AWD. My 5 lease is done in Nov. Really interested in a phev 5 but doubt we will see it in US this year.

consider 550i

I spent less than the $75 grand you are considering on a 2013 550i xdrive carbon black M sport with Dinan S2 chip, suspension, and exhaust. The total package including the Dinan mods came under $72 grand. I was trying to come close to an all-wheel drive M5 - mine doesn't have the double clutch transmission and is just a little less HP than the M5 - but the all wheel drive makes up for that. I had been looking at an RS5 or the S7 but went with the 550i - no regrets.

Very nicely done! I still need rear passenger space and if I were after a performance beast, this would be a sweet way to go.
