Hi There. I'm looking at purchasing a 2012 528i xdrive and am considering european delivery? I know there is the standard 7% discount, but I'm sure there is a way to get more than that off.

Is this possible? Can anyone provide any advice or tools I can use to negotiate?

Thanks in advance!

Ray

P.S.
I've never owned a car before (got lucky and somehow got around without ever owning one until now) so I'm excited to start negotiating for my first car.

I expect to order a 535xi in early December. Thanks very much.

I got my ED 2012 528 for 8.9% of US MSRP. I supposedly got a good deal through a family connection but to be honest I don't how how great it really was. They offered me a number, it sounded good so I took it. (Yeah, not the best negotiating practice but it was family right? Its not like I could have walked away) The car was nearly fully loaded though so it probably helped bring that % off up a little since we all know BMW makes a ton on the options.

I'd love to see the price list for 2012 ED 528i if someone has it. My deal is done but I'm curious if I did indeed get a good deal. Unless I didn't, then I'm going to be frustrated.

Can you PM me? or do I need to post an email?

Hi, it would be great if someone can send me 2012 535i xDrive ED and US wholesale pricing to a_sinitsyn (at) hotmail.com. I'm planning to order ED, but would like to have exact numbers before I negotiate. Taking 14 and 9 percent off MSRP is not something I can talk with dealer with confidence. My preliminary calculations still show it is wiser decision financially to get ED especially if you plan to keep the car over 3 years than the best lease deal on the same car.

Thanks in advance!

I would be eternally grateful for this information as I have begun the process of actually purchasing this car. I have spoken with two CAs so far and neither would give me a straight answer when I asked for ED invoice price. If possible, please email to (blkthght at yahoo.com). I promise I will pay this forward. Thank you.

I just stumbled across this posting. You can get US & Euro Delivery MSRP and Invoice prices on ALL BMW using the below link to BMWConfig. I used it and the numbers matched all of the other sources I could find.

http://www.bmwconfig.com/BmwConfig/C...5-18182d3d2b64

If you are going to shop, do your homework. These forums are full of great information.

My Deal on a '12 535I was $13,425 Under US Sticker.

Here are the numbers;

US MSRP Sticker, $71,775; Invoice $66,150
ED MSRP Sticker $68,120; Invoice $62,585

Minus $1,730 Navigation Rebate (I did get Nav), $1000 Loyalty Rebate, $1000 Manufacture Holiday (Mission To Drive) Rebate, $1000 BMW CC
$4730 in total discounts.

I did an ED and bought the car for $500 over ED invoice. So (after I get the $1000 BMW CC rebate) I will be;

$13,425 under US Sticker; $7,800 below US invoice and $4,230 under ED invoice. I will save roughly $4,500 doing an European delivery over a US delivery.

Out the door after California tax/license and doc fees will be $65,189.44. After the BMW CC rebate I will have paid $64,189.55.

My car;

2012 535I;
Alpine White
NASW Black Nappa
Anthracite Trim
ZCW Cold Weather Package
ZLS Luxury Seating Package
ZMP M Sport Package
ZPP Premium Package
ZPS Premium Sound Package
ZTP Technology Package
2TB Sports Auto Trans
610 Heads-up Display
5DF Active Cruise Control

Chuck,

Congrats on your great deal. Your car is very similar to the car that I want to purchase, also an ED. And thank you for the bmwconfig link. A couple of questions if you have a second. What is the bmw cc rebate? I'm familiar with the other credits but not that one.

Also, which dealership did you make your purchase (I'm also in southern cal)? So far I have visited two dealerships and the first one opened with an offer of $1K over ED invoice, but never gave me the ED invoice price. Instead, he started with the US invoice price, configured it with all of the options that I wanted (also at us invoice), and then subtracted the difference from US MSRP and ED MSRP. Sounds weird but that's how he arrived at the selling price. I didn't even get that far with the 2nd dealership. So it would be good to know of a dealership that will accept the bmwconfig ED invoice as a valid starting point to negotiate from.

And finally, did you ever consider the 535xi (all wheel drive)? I had my mind set on getting the all drive model until I was told by two different client advisers that xi models are rarely sold in southern california because there is no demand for them. A quick check of edmunds.com inventory supports this statement since it can only locate 2 available 535xi models in my area code. Thanks again for the info.

I have no need for all wheel drive. Go test drive one and see what you think.

2013 year model is not that far off. Roughly invoice is about 7% of the MSRP and I think its around 8% if you add options. Unfortunately who ever was posting wholesale prices was told not to do it anymore. Did you tried Edmunds?
