535 M Sport Brakes

What difference is there in the M Sport Brakes and Non M Sport.
I had an M Sport Loaner and the brakes were much stronger.
Can we upgrade to those?

Thanks ahead!

So I guess no upgrades for brakes unless you go Aftermarket?

Might be possible to put on the larger 550i brakes on the 535i.

I've inquired from almost every manufacturer and either way even with a cheap brand it's still expensive

At least here the front rotors on the 550i are 374mm while the 535i has 348mm.

It should be possible, even without changing the dust shields. The issue will be the calipers. Unless the mounting points for the 550 and 535 caliper are the same you would need either a custom bracket or the 550 front spindle to mount the larger 550 brakes. Which could still be cheaper than getting a full BBK

BTW, even the E60 M-sport and non-M sport cars had the same brakes.
The E60 basically went up 10mm in disc diameter by model
525/528 had the smallest
530/535 were 10mm larger
545/550 were 10 mm larger

Looking at the ETK it shows F10 535i/550i to use the same 328x36mm front disc, 34116785669 in the US market, but a 374x36mm disc in the EU. How odd.

Spindles & dust shield show to be the same PN as 535i, so the EU 550i brakes should bolt right on.

anyone got pictures of the 550 rear brake caliper? wanna see what the difference in size is? even if it does fit i'm looking at this from a aesthetics point. just having a nicer smooth design of a larger looking caliper just looks more pleasing when pairing with a nice set of wheels.

+1
Even M5 rears are owfull to look at. I would love to get a set of nice solid looking calipers in front and back like AMGs do. But paying 4 grand for bbk just so I can make it more pleasing to look at is a bit much.

yep! i've seen that on the M5 forum too where they were looking for options for the rear calipers and surprisingly enough some of them thought maybe going with caliper covers totally agree with you on whether or not you want to drop $4k on brakes. i can drop that money some where else...but...it would be nice to get

I don't feel right using caliper covers. Feels like sticking an M5 or AMG badge on a car that isn't. Not to mention how cheesy they all look. Hmm... there is a business idea, make good looking caliper covers....
The only option is to get custom calipers but im not sure how to work in the handbrake that's on the stock calipers.
