This switch is used for BMW models that did not come with front fog lights...but do have rear fog lights (like in Europe).

What this means for someone like in the US market...that it will turn your rear dynamic brake lights into rear fog lights. But this switch would not be something anyone with front fog lights would want...unless you didn't want to use them.

This switch would be something for BMW models (that the switch fits) that didn't come with front fog lights...like the F series M5 & M6. If you have front fog lights...then you would NOT want this switch...you need the switch that has both FRONT & REAR fog light buttons.

Correct. I didn't think about the front fog lights on the F10 5series as my M5 doesn't have front foglight. If your car has front foglight then you do not want to buy my switch.
