I sure hope they won't put that hockey stick on it.... Last edited by SleevedCoyote; 11-19-2015 at 01:51 AM.. |

I'll put money on they will. It seems to be once their signature features now along with the hoff kink, double headlights and grill.
All of the manufacturers seem to putting "gills" or similar design features on this part of the car now to fill what is otherwise a blank . Got to say at first glance though it looks good. |

I think though if it was msport, it would not have the silver lining it would be black instead.
I'm sure it will have most of the tech the new 7 will have and be almost autonomous if you want it to be. |

Nice, but this seems more like a refresh than a model change. Looking back, the new model is always significantly different from the departing one. This one is way too similar to the F10 (side kink/doors, hood, trunk lid, etc.)

What AP said.
But I haven't got much faith in renders like this. We just have to wait and see.

Assuming this is what it ends up looking like, it's not actually bad at all.
Personally I like that it may not be complete redesign as I quite like the current model, but not so much the previous one. That "hockey stick" as someone called it, not my cup of tea. Doesn't belong on otherwise "classy" model like this. |

If it looks like that render, I'd be pretty happy. I think the new 7 is a step down in exterior styling - hate the hockey stick, too, and the front fascia and lights seem less striking to me than the last generation.
The tech is a huge upgrade, though, so I'm hopeful we'll see much of it flow to the 5... as I'm not quite ready for something as large as a 7-series... nor do I like the look of it. I'm also hoping they'll put an optional spare tire on the equipment list - I think I read that they have it for the new 7-series. These run-flat tires are horrible. Looking forward to seeing some real-life photos!
