BMW, bring back the sound! Any intakes for better sound?

I have driven my 535i for 1700 miles now. Since the break-in, I try to experience the 3500+ rpm.

The power is nice, but the sound is very disappointing. Coming from E46, this car does not have the classic induction noise from I-6.

Any tuner out there comes up with an intake? I don't care about performance, I just want the sound. I remembered back then GruppeM came up with awesome sound for E46. I don't want to go with exhaust route due to drone and price.

Wish it were that simple to get growl from the engine just by doing an intake.

I've thought the same thing about my 2010 335i. Even with a number of different intakes on the car, I did not see a noticeable increase in sound. Just a slight diverter valve whoosh (barely audible) at gear change.

Exhaust is really the best route to go to increase the sound, and there are lots of options out there that will give you sound without drone. So long as you aren't eliminating any Cats you should be okay drone wise.

I agree I tried quite a few different things and am quite satisfied with a drop in K&N filter and exhaust

BTW, does anyone have a DIY guide on how to replace the air filter for the F10?

If you would like that aggressive somewhat raspy tone of the E46 without drone from your F10, then I would recommend a performance downpipe
