no launch control.

but I have my doubts about the app - but it is consistently showing 4.7 for 0-60mph over a number of runs

I need to get it on a dyno

Not m sport launch control, I meant the battery launch from the hybrid AH is faster launch then the non hybrid. Same applies to the 335 AH vs regular 335

ah yes - I see what you mean

with the battery you get instant torque with the e-boost.

put it in sport mode with the drive control, push the shifter over to M/S and jam your right foot down -bang - engine goes and battery boosts it

plus the JB stage 1 with BMS air intake to help it along with super sprint exhaust

could be contributing factor to the times

Sorry for the thread necromancing.

I have a 640i and would like to add a JB4 (PWG, the new version with OBDII).

I am now concerned that it doesn't seem that the gains on the F10/F13 platform are anywhere close to the F30/F32.

What's the latest? Has Terry cracked it and can I expect decent gains on my car, or am I wasting my time?

Thanks all.

I read some of the earlier posts of this thread and theres just no way a fbo 535i is only hitting 300 hp. And as far as a match up with a 550. I have jb4, downpipe, charge pipe and ff wires running 5 gallons of e85 and ive beat both of the 550s ive had a run in with. One from a 50 roll and the other from about a 30 roll.

How much can I expect on my 640i with just JB4, no other mods?

About 20 to 30 probably. Not a huge difference but it is noticeable. But that is the tip of the iceberg. You will want more. Bms intake ( forgot to mention i had in the previous post) and downpipe are two inexpensive mods that will make a big difference when added to the jb4. Switch to map 2 and add a few gallons of e85 and you will be very happy with your gains.

I can't put the intake/DP on because the car is still under maintenance plan. The JB4 I can take off when taking the car to a dealer.

What about the charge pipe? Is it a certainty that it will explode with the JB4?

If you only have jb4 on map 1 you will be fine without one.
