Memory Seat Save Sound!?

I’m in a 2015 535i xDrive loaner.

Strange question regarding memory seats:

When I press “SET” and “1” there’s an audible sound that confirms position save.

When I press “SET” and “2”, however, there’s no such sound; anyone know why!?

Does the manual say anything about this? Maybe only #1 beeps so you know which button you pressed?

Confused as well.

And I don't have the manual; it's a loaner.

Can anyone with a '15 confirm / reproduce?

Some of the manual content is available in the iDrive.

Nothing in the manual about any sounds.

Just move the seat a bit and then recall memory 2 and see if it goes back to where you saved it

Quote:
Two different driver's seat, exterior mirror, and
steering wheel positions can be stored and re‐
trieved for each remote control. The adjust‐
ment of the lumbar support is not stored.

Storing
1. Switch on the ignition.
2. Set the desired position.
3. Press the M button. The LED in the
button lights up.
4. Press the desired button 1 or 2. The LED
goes out.

If the M button is pressed accidentally:
Press the button again.
The LED goes out.

It does; so the function works.

Anyway, something may be wrong with the car and that's that.

What else is new; argh.
