Rear window air vent?

I noticed on most of the BMW, there is an air vent in the rear window, almost looks like the defrost vent in the windshield. How do I turn the rear air vent on?

Its airholes that lets the air flow into the trunk area and then to vents behind the bumpers.
You need these outlet vents else the climate control fans would pressurize the cabin.

Defogging for the rear window is via the electrically heated wires in the glass

Thank you for the info. I guess every car have these vents but just not set up that way.
