Info about Split/Folding rear seat, please

I am considering this option and wondered if someone could tell me their impressions of whether it is worth the $475 (US).

Also, could someone tell me the width and heighth of the opening? I assume the upholstery dimensions (armrest width) is the same whether you get the option or not . . .

Thanks for the help!

I have had it on 3 5 ers and I love it. It makes the F10 more flexible. I am a cyclist and I can remove the front wheel of my bike and put my bike inside the car. I measured the trunk on the F10 and it is the same size as the E60. You could measure that. I use SF RS frequently and it is convenient and works well.

I absolutely had to have this option, and while expensive ($475 vs. free on many cars), it is 100% worth it for me.

The opening is about 36" x 17", and appears the same as the one without it.

I normally have to bring along large LCD displays for presentations (42" to 48") I had a 3 series coupe with the folding seats. When I bought a 48" LCD at Best Buy and asked for help getting it into the car, when this person got out and saw the car, he just laughed and said that there was no way to get that "in the trunk". I opened the trunk, folded the seats and just watched the trunk swallow the monitor and the sales person swallow his words...
