Coding RDC Tyre pressure display
Hi
I have 2016 BMW X1 xdrive 18D. I am planning to change front 2 wheels which have bad curb damage with same wheels+alloys that I bought from eBay. The new set came off another BMW X1. My car has the following options S2VB Tyre Pressure Display S28A BMW LA Wheel, Y-Spoke 569 When I put the new set on, do I have to code the RDC sensors via ESys or ISATA to work with my cars' Tyre pressure display system or they work automatically. Failing that, can just swap the RDC sensors from old to new wheels? Kind Regards |

When replacing wheels, it is easier to move the sensors over. It will work without having to do any additional steps. If you install a new sensor, it have to be the same frequency that your existing ones are. Any tire shop that works on modern cars should have a tool to activate the new sensor and register it with the vehicle.
