Has anyone tried IFTTT from BMW labs?

I have implemented some really cool recipes!

Go to your widgets and look for IFTTT Widget.

It's so cool. Basically, you create triggers that pop under specified events. Like, if you're BMW is 1000 feet from the house, open your garage door.

Or, if you are within 10 minutes from navi destination, send a text notification,

Or, if you hit park, create an entry of your trip into a spreadsheet in google drive.

Yes, have been using these for a while.... great feature set. I am keeping a log of my speed and where I travel.

I have a 2013 535i and want to use this functionality with IFTTT. Can anyone confirm that if I update my firmware to the latest version available, I can make use of the BMW Labs widget + IFTTT?

It says only for cars produced after 7/2013. I'm guessing 2014 models and later are involved in this.
