535i Brake Question

Hello All,

I had a questions regarding upgrading the brakes on my 535i. I have found several threads on upgrading the 535i to M5 brakes. Let me just say right off the bat that I dont want to do that.

What I cant find any information on is if the 550i brakes are larger than the 535i and if so, is it a bolt on upgrade? Has anyone else here done that? Anythor question I had is if there should be any concerns given that I have the electric handbrake?

Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!!!

535i uses a 348x30mm front disc. 550i uses a 348x36mm disc.

Not an appreciable upgrade to be had there.

Rear is 330x20mm, vs 345x24mm. So slightly larger, but again is the juice worth the squeeze? Likely no.
