Treated myself to an early Fathers Day present - powdercoated rims.
I've had this 2014 550i for a month or so. I want to keep it stock -- it's a daily driver and I am really happy with how comfortable the ride is. The only thing I didn't care for was the look of the silver Msport rims against the Space Gray paint, so I treated myself to glossy black powdercoating. The dealer actually took care of it for me while I had it in for something else. I overpayed a little, but I was glad to go with a vendor they trust. They did a great job, and I am super happy with the results!

Looks really nice. I've been thinking about doing that as well. If you don't mind me ask, how much did it cost you?

$1200. Admittedly, I could have shopped and gotten it done for a few hundred dollars less, but I zero hassle, and I felt good about doing it through my BMW dealer while it was in for something else. I drove their loaner for 6 days and then picked it up.

whoa! that's pricey! dealer or not you could have gotten it done much cheaper if not better quality too! but i understand what you mean cause if you have any issues with them you could always bring it back to the dealer

Yeah, I know I could have got it done much cheaper, but I doubt any better. The vendor they use does only wheels, no sandblasting, and they warrant their work. Plus, as you say, I can always go back to the dealer if I have issues. It was worth it to me.
