F10 535i Tuning help?
I'm about to pull the trigger on either a 2011 or 2012 F10 535i but am struggling to understand the ECU tuning options. I'll say that my test drives of un-tuned F10 535i's have been a bit underwhelming - especially compared to my Cobb-tuned E60 535i - so I want to clarify my options and expectations before pulling the trigger. (I'm particularly concerned about the brutal throttle response I've experienced on test drives.)
I see that BMS has a JB4 tune for the F10 but I'm not finding much reliable data (dynos?) on how it performs. And Cobb is no currently offering a tune for these cars. I realized that most of the tuning focus is on 3-series cars, but I need to be sure I can crank up the performance from stock if I'm going to live with this car for the next 3+ years. Can anyone give me some advice about the tuning options available and the real-world performance expectations compared to stock?

I used to have a F10 535i with the BMS tune, it was definitely a good bump in power - but since I also own a tuned E92 with the N54, it was really sad in comparison. Consider getting a used 550i instead.
