Door Lock Issue

I just got my car back from having an M5 Comp Exhaust and diffuser installed. I noticed that the door lock pin (not sure if this is the correct term) for the rear doors and the front passenger door does not go all the way in when the door is locked. The comfort access works fine, all the doors can be locked/unlocked...

Anyone know how to fix this?

Looks like you will need to pop off the door panels. What is happening here is that the small diameter, metal rod/pin that normally is shoved up into that plastic piece you mentioned is somehow dislodged.

Essentially, the metal rod/pin is no longer where it is supposed to be, hence the situation you are in.

Are you sure the doors are actually locked? This happened to my RR door and it turns out it wasn't actually locking. It wasn't locking and the actuator needed to be replaced (under CPO warranty).

I believe you are right. I recall having this same problem in the past. Had to pop open the panel and re-inserted the pin.

Thanks everyone. I'll just have the dealer take care of it, still under manufacturers warranty.
