If you own an F10 550i with a 6 speed manual

Are you experiencing any issues with hesitation at take off?
I noticed a hesitation on one of the cars I drove and I wonder if this is a common issue. First I attributed the hesitation to the "hill hold" feature since it happened on a slight incline but I understand that only automatic transmission cars have the hill hold feature. I can describe it as a hesitation at throttle tip-in - it feels like the brake is on for a split of a second and then it releases and the car accelerates normally. I'd like to know in case my car arrives with the same issue - can it be fixed or do I have to live with it?

There is a hill-hold function on my 535i 6sp. I'm not sure I'd call it a "hesitation" though. The take off is pretty smooth. Give it some gas, and it'll get moving just fine!

That's good news. If your 535i has it then the 550i must have it too - it is now called the Drive-off assistant. It's a useful thing to have but in my case it might be what I perceive as an interference at take off. I'm a couple of weeks away from finding out for sure

The 550i m sport has both "Hill start assist" and "Auto hold", they release as soon as you take the foot off the break, no big hesitation and you can opt to turn it off, so foot off break and bang off you go, it's your choice. I always use this option it saves any role back.
