I see these guys also sell downpipes for the 550i. Anyone have any experience with that? Probably have to deal with the CEL always being on as well?

They do and there are sets floating out there. All I have seen are positive reviews so far. They actually have dynos up on their site as well. You will get a CEL. I wish there was a o2 sim for the 550i, I would buy these in a heart beat. Your only choices for no cel is catted pipes or stock m5 pipes.

Their 550i GT AWD (heavier than a 550i) with BMS Stage 2 (not JB4), downpipes, and intake made 465awhp and 525awtq. Keep in mind this is a 5,000lb plus car.

It picked up 48awhp with the DPs and intake. So im thinking maybe the intake is worth 20.

Does any know how much power badblack550 picked up with his intake?

I'm thinking that as well. Its obviously not losing power and some have claimed gains with downpipes and some haven't. I'm thinking the intake is good for around 15-20whp and the same for torque. Unfortunately I don't have a dyno in close proximity and it can get expensive. Which is money I don't want to spend. The butt dyno will tell all (for me anyways). Looking at installing it tomorrow.

Will report back asap.

Reviving an old thread.

I was looking into the ARM cold air intake and ran into this thread where some were reporting CELs and misfires. What am I missing here? Why would an intake cause either of those if the MAFs are installed correctly?

The ARM intakes seem like a solid product for a decent price, but want to confirm before pulling the trigger.

I've had it 4 months and love it. Driver's side fit is a bit tight but will go. Sound is great. Looks good, and price is spot-on. Of course there's the heat soak but...they just released an upgrade pushing intake to front of grill...https://www.armmotorsports.com/colle...intake-upgrade
