Has anyone used Meguiar's polisher?

Has anyone used Meguiar's DA drill attachment to polish or wax their car?
I know it won't be as good as a professional grade device, but it looks like a time saver for waxing at home.
Thanks!

Bite the bullet. Get a Porter Cable 7424. You'll still have it 10 yrs from now and it can do so much more.

http://www.autopia.org/forums/polish...weak-mods.html

I bought this with a 20% off coupon from harbor freight and did these mods. All the reviews on this have been great.

69.99 on the site and 20% off makes it around 56 dollars. Amazon sells that drill attachment for around 47... the HF DA polisher is a no brainer.

If you need a 20% off coupon code pm me.

I think that would just be a "porter"

I wound up buying the Meguiar's DA at the local autozone. Used it yesterday after wash and clay bar. Used Meguiar's polishing compound followed by wax. Great results. Super easy to use, and so much better than doing it by hand.

I'm sure the Porter Cable unit is better, but for the occasional use I thought the Meguiar's did just fine.

i've seen that! does it take longer since the porter itself is a smaller disc? did you end up gettting different polishing pads and different waxing pads?

Used the same pad for both because they didn't have the "waxing" pads at the store. I just washed the pad real well in between. Going to order some replacement pads on the Meguiar's website.
