New 2013 535i M Sport Manual Transmission
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Finally getting around to posting pics of my new 2013 535i M Sport manual transmission. This is my fourth BMW--and am returning to BMW after a break with an Audi S4 and then a MB C63 AMG. I bought the 535 at the end of December and now have about 1200 on the odometer. The car is awesome. It's jet black on black. Options are M Sport, premium, cold weather, technology and premium audio. I bought the car from Bill Jacobs BMW in Naperville, IL. My first from them and it was a great experience. Angel Santana was my CA and he's fantastic. Highly, highly recommend this dealership and working with Angel. I've made a few slight mods and am likely finished once I get the windows tinted. I just wanted to provide an overview on the few things I did in case it's of help to anyone. BMW Performance Exhaust. I'm coming from a C63 AMG which is nothing short of a beast and has an insane exhaust note. As you know, the stock exhaust on the 535 is prius-esque so an upgrade was mandatory. Yeah, yeah, i know the BMW performance exhaust doesn't actually add any performance enhancement (apart from shaving some weight) but the sound is awesome and has exceeded expectations. Picture below, very nice exhaust tips also. And it's plug and play, no diffusor modifications needed. I bought it from a dealer on ebay and had Bill Jacobs install it. Highly recommend. Back camera from mod my nav. The car was on the dealer's lot (rare for a manual) and they didn't order it with either PDC or the camera. I think a camera is a nice feature (I'm getting soft) so I purchased from and had Kris my from mod my nav install it. It was a no brainer. GREAT product. And if you're in the Chicagoland area, Kris will install it for a very reasonable fee. http://modmynav.com Pic below on what the screen looks like when in reverse. Painted front and rear reflectors from IND. Can't imagine a better $150 to spend on this car. Check out the pics below. info@ind-distribution.com Again, as I'm in Chicago, I went over picked them up and had them install. Full detail from LUSTR. If you're in the Chicagoland area, you've likely heard of Ivan from LUSTR and his impeccable reputation. It's very well deserved. You won't find a better detail in the midwest if not the entire country. The crummy iphone pics below won't do the car justice but it looks amazing. Everyone in Chicago should take theirs cars to Ivan. http://www.lustrdetail.com Windows. I'm moving to Miami next week so will be taking care of the windows there. Will be doing 20% on all windows. Final note, check out the ashtray placement (directly in front of the gear shifter). If you have automatic trans, this is where you have cupholders. It's reversed with manual trans F10s. And so where you (auto trans) have a ashtray (adjacent to idrive controller) is where the single cup holder is for F10s with manual. Less than ideal. Nice BMW. But I love the heated M steering wheel so you're forgiven. (I did mention i was getting soft!). Big thanks to everyone on this forum. Great community and incredible help both in buying and in getting the most out of your BMW. Take care everyone, safe driving. |
