Thanks! Found it.

clivey - If you cannot find it like on the picture, you may find it under Settings --> General --> Network --> Personal Hotspot and VPN.

Not sure which version I am on but I am with Vodaphone UK, if it helps...

Personal Hotspot I think.

It says under there that "... to share iPhone's Internet connection."

I don't remember having this option when I configured mine in January. Is it post March 11 build only? Or did I just miss it? Can a Pre March 11 (mine's Feb 11) have it, like with a software upgrade?

So... has anyone in Europe got the Internet to work with the F10/11 without using an iPhone or Bluetooth?

If yes, could you please let me know which countries.

Thanks!

Completely off-topic (sorry) but - can this option (Internet) be retrofitted? Is it only software or hardware is needed (e.g. SIM card slot?) Ta

Not what you asked, but I have it working on my F25 without using a mobile.
Car has it's own SIM.
This is the UK.
One thing I don't know, but will test next time abroad, is whether it works when I'm outside of UK, which would presumably mean the car's SIM is roaming..

Yep, that's the main issue in Denmark, the BMW dealer blames the telcos but a guy who was smart enough to order his F10 from the UK, has the Internet working.

So... if the technical possibility exists (that guy car's SIM has to connect to the Danish telcos after all) how come that cars ordered for DK don't work in DK?! Mystery... and no one from BMW DK can shed any light on this :-(

I'll have to remember to check if my car's Internet works in Germany next time I drive there, but I'm not holding my breath.

I wouldn't be too disappointed, I'd prefer it if I _could_ use my mobile connection.
The data connection built-in is only GPRS apparently, and it's very slow!

I have Autonet Carfi for the Slingbox. I can see my desktop and transfer files also. Netflix and streaming video works great. Not everybody has unlimited cell data, so it's ideal for media. Anyone who has a Skype account can really take advantage of the Autonet Mobile in-car ISP as they can call relatives or for hotel bookings without putting a strain on your cell phone bill. Emails and streaming video, not a problem with the Autonet Mobile in-car ISP as it can go in speeds to even 1 Mbps as you watch some of your favorite shows on YouTube or Veoh without having to resort to bringing your stockpile of DVDs. Slingbox owners will be thrilled to watch their local channels as they cruise the roads somewhere out there.

Autonet Mobile is the first wireless internet service provider designed for your car.
