Ceramic Dials - Yay or Nay?

I just ordered them to be included on my new 5er. I have seen them in pictures (where I thought they looked great), but never in real life. Anyone here who has seen them up close? How do they make the car look and feel?

Thanks in advance!

The ceramic controls make the car look richer. I would get them if I was ordering a car.

I don't have them in my car but have seen them in a 550i and they looked and felt great. Good choice.

IMO it depends on the trim. If you have dark wood trim, I would go with the ceramic dials. I have the aluminum hexa trim on my LCI and the regular aluminum dials work well.

Thanks a lot for your thoughts. I really appreciate the insight.

I went with the Dakota black with anthracite wood trim and ceramic controls. Still a few weeks away from receipt of the car, but I can't wait to see it. Hope I made a good selection!

You will like the ceramic controls, especially with your color combo. Enjoy your new ride.

I love my ceramic controls, but they get hot as hell when the car is parked in the hot sum.

I have them in my 2013 535i. Just the touch is worth it for something used very frequently!

Another "yay" vote. Such a small price for a nicer look and much better feel.

CC make the interior look better. The regular ones look so cheap imo. BMW should include this option to every 5 series at no extra charge since this is a luxury car.

Have them on my car - they're very nice, you won't regret it. I wish there were more of them in the cabin, but the ones that get the treatment will certainly stand out to you!

I've had the standard silver and now ceramic. I do agree the ceramic does make the interior look nicer I don't however notice how they feel any different from the regular silver. Maybe you need to touch them side by side to notice. Wish for $650 they included more parts being ceramic.
