New Member here....

Just picked up a 2014 550i - Space Grey with Mocha Brown Interior, 13k miles.

Car Has
Msport Package
Exec Package
Lighting Package
Cold Weather Package

Replaced a 2003 540i - M Tech Which I bought used in Dec 2006, and sold last
month, with 98,500 miles on it.

The F10 is a Night and Day difference than the e39. Although i loved the handling of my e39, having just recently turned 40, i'm enjoying the cush ride of the F10. I drove it 500 miles from Bend, OR to the Bay Area, and didn't feel tired at all.

2 hrs in my lowered e39 and my back hated me for it! It wasn't much different when stock.

Again totally different cars, each have their own merits. So far love all the Tech and the luxury in the f10!

Looking forward to learning from you guys!, also any Bay Area Folks on the board?

Now Pics.

Old Hotness:

Stock when I first purchase in Dec 2006 with 26k Miles

After i sold her

ACS Type 2's 18x10 / 18x9
Eisenmann Exhaust
Racing Dynamics Intake
H&r Springs / Bilstein shocks
Eibach sway bars
front strut tower brace
full audio upgrade.

and the new hotness.

Going to keep her stock or now, lets see how long that lasts. But planning to install

Dinan Springs/Bump stops - the wheel gap is annoying me :P
Exhaust - Dinan or Eisnemann (always loved the eisenmann on my e39) still researching.
Wheels - When tires need to be replaced i may sell the oem wheels and change them out.
Intake - if i can find one thats CARB legal. my e39 intake wasn't CARB legal but it was easy enough to swap out. only benefit that i got from the e39 intake was the growl when i got on it!

Maybe some minor upgrades, but so far i'm happy with the HK system, helluva alot better than older BMW stock systems!

Looks like you have a keen eye for subtle modding judging by that awsome 540, you shouldnt have any probs with the new beast. Congrats and welcome

Thanks for the compliments guys! modding will start soon! Wife loves driving this car too (she hated driving the e39).

the e39 was an awesome ride, but wasn't too practical with both the kids in the back and the wife up front.

This one is more practical. Wife has an MDX so this will split family hauling duties.

I got a killer deal on this car, bought it in Bend, Or and drove it down to San Jose. still can't believe i got it 6-8k below market!

looking forward to learning from you folks!

First thing i want ot address is that wheel gap without without effecting ride quality!! thinking of going with Dinan Springs! and then Exhaust!

I put spacers and H&R Sports on mine late last fall.
TBH, you will notice a tad bit of stiffer ride and more bumps however you get over it in time, and I just ride with my car always in Comfort+ now except when I'm getting aggressive putting around town in Sport+ just because I can!
I'm going to be going to 20" M5 rims and Michelin PSS' as soon as this set of RFTs run out, so that will make the fit even better.
Lots of little things can make this car look 'just' right. Good luck!

Congrats! Love that color on the F10, especially m sport. I park near a space gray 535 m sport often and as much as I love my carbon black, I sweat the space gray too.

Hard to explain! It's an Indian savoury street food. They are little disks of dough that are fried and puff up into really thin golf ball shaped snacks. You then punch a hole in them and put some cooked chick peas, boiled potatoes and spicy tamarind water into them. You get this explosion in your mouth as the crunchy snack explodes, as well as the soft texture of the veg and the spicy/sour tamarind water releases. Although I prefer mine with just the tamarind water...

Hope this makes sense!

In India they are sold off little stalls everywhere, I guess it's similar to your hotdog stalls
