I know this has been brought up a few times on different chassis including our F10's. I just want to first thank peter91118 for the part and give my experience with the mod so far.
After the install from SoCal BMW my very first impression was the clutch feel was smoother than before almost no resistance. 100% smoother. My mechanic said a lot of people who perform this mod just pinch the brake line and quickly insert the new part or just delete it entirely. He went on to say most of those people don't have issues afterwards however, there are still small air bubbles that are introduced to the system which gives your clutch a firm feeling when depressing. He performed a proper bleed and the clutch feels super free. Almost like it's broken if your not used to a clutch with no resistance. Highly recommend the bleed. Next was the drive. No immediate difference in feeling when driving normal which is perfect. When driving slowly or normal shifting from 1st to 2nd it doesn't occasionally jerk the car like I suck at driving. Under more aggressive driving I noticed the clutch grabs firmly at the top right before complete release of the clutch pedal. Shifting from 1st-2nd is instant and doesn't feel like the clutch is slipping anymore. Freeway speed shifts are crisp and immediate. Prior to that it wasn't consistent at high speeds I would occasionally get that slipping feeling. That is now resolved. I'm still testing it out, but so far I can say it's a must for those of us that like to use our cars to do what BMW's were designed to do As soon as the warranty is out I will do a full delete, but for now I need stealth. If you can't get your hands on a modded CDV just go full delete. The cherry on the cake was the BMS clutch stop picked up from Mike at Extreme Power House. Next stop, a weighted shift knob.
