Car's too low to get exhaust done!

So I went to 3 different muffler shops to inquire about getting those Meisterschaft's installed and all said my car is too low to get on the car rack. They said I would have to find a shop that has a drive in pit instead and they don't know of anyone close by so first it was finding a place that can do my alignment sitting this low and now I'm running into the same with the exhaust I'll have to do some more searching

That totally sucks! Hopefully you can find a place that can do it.

A shop with a 2 or 4 post lift should be able to get the car up in the air and get the exhaust installed. If all they have is a ramp lift then they may have issues, but even then they can always use wood planks to help get the car on the lift and get it up in the air. I suspect you will have to find a tuner shop that is used to modified cars, your exhaust is axle back like mine, it shouldn't be that big a deal.

So the shops with the ramps my front splitter is in the way. The one's with the 4 post lifts my car sits 3/4" lower than where the plates can slide under the Jack points...more like it hits 3/4" above the side skirt. I didn't realize my car sat that low lol! There's shops that can do it...I just gotta find one

I guess my past life of working on corvettes that chase ants around has me with a different definition of "low"... they are just lazy and scared they will have to buy a $2500 bumper if they mess up! As others have said, plenty of ways to get it on the lift, they just aren't interested in doing it.

Take your front bumper off or use the wood planks.

I've used wood planks on previous lowered cars and it will also help to put your hands inside the fenders and lift. You will get a decent amount of movement and might be able to get the jacks under

I agree, if they drive it up on wood blocks or planks, you're good. Worst case, jack the car up, slide wood blocks (4x4 would be fine) under each tire, then BOOM the car is sitting high enough to get it on the posts. Lol, I have done that in my garage, can't imagine why a shop couldn't do it

That's how my exhaust shop does mine, wood blocks that transition to the ramp on the lift.

LOL, I did that in my garage to get the stance right when I installed my coilovers. Jack it up, put blocks under the tires and it gave me the clearance I needed to make adjustments, and I was able to level the suspension with the car's weight on the coils. I am shocked that any shop would have an issue thinking of the same thing.

They can do it they just dont want the hassle when there is easier cars to work on and they dont want the liability. Most guys with modified cars are a pain in the ass(not all not you just a generalization). A good friend of mine is a great guy but when it comes to cars I am embarrassed to go places with him, even a car wash ends up with an arguement

Use this an excuse to come here to NJ I got a shop that can take care of you.

All jokes aside, best of luck with researching a shop. I hope you find one soon bro.

Dang it! I Had my exhaust installed before I lowered my car for fear it wouldnt fit on the car lift. I coulda warned you on that one but you never asked what order the mods need to go in. But I can atleast tell you to put the mtech bumper and your carbon diffuser on BEFORE you do the exhaust, then you can have the exhaust guy put the tips exactly where you want them like I did. There's a solution thou, put the coil overs to stock ride height and put on the mtech bumper with carbon diffuser painted or not then have the exhaust put on, then put the height back to low rider status and get it aligned. Then put your old bumper back on till you get the mtech painted, hopefully the old bumper lines up in the meantime
